Pleaaaasssee HELP!!!
I am currently in the market of buying a pre-owned Jaguar. I sincerely want a car of luxury, durability and comfort, especially under the hood!!! I am now looking at an XJ8L 2005 with 81,000 miles on it. It is fully loaded and rides very well. The 2nd owner purchased it from an auction and is now selling it for $15,000. Is this a good deal or am I considering a headache? I've done the carfax report and researched it with prior service at local dealers and everything has come back clean. Is this worth my time? Please Help ?!?!?

Only you can decide if it's worth your time or not. If it is well equipped the price seems too good to be true. Spend some time to understand why the person is selling it. These are very expensive to repair and looking at the mileage it is out of warranty. May be drive to a local dealership for an inspection.
If you are considering inspection by a local shop I would strongly advocate goind to a dealer. The car is very complex and the person inspecting it needs to know what to look for.

I was shopping for XJ8 recently and most of the Jags I saw were fairly low mileage cars. I don't think there are a lot of X350s driven above 100k miles to get a real sense of the issues one might face as the car ages.
