Had an incident just before Christmas when I hit a large block of expanded polystyrene. This stuff is like a hard foam and weighs very little, but if you hit it can cause damage as I found out.

I had the car inspected on the ramp at my local independent, XJK Jaguar, and fortunately, the bumper is not damaged, the paint is hardly marked at all !

Parts are now on order so hopefully it'll be fixed next week. A piece of the foam is in the second photo. The fog light and its securing bracket was found in the cavity behind the bumper.

 

Had this pretty much a year ago, but with a hit pheasant... Luckily no paint damage either, just fog lamp grille damage.

 

All sorted out today at my local Jaguar indie, XJK. New lower grill and new grill for the fog lamp. Also cleared the fogging on the inside of both fog lamps, so the car looks nice and pretty now. Hope to get photos when we get better weather !
