I am interest too, but I bet would be cost prohibitive. What from a junk yard? Are there any good Jag junkyards online?

ok so i just got an email back and was told they will only sell as a set. so it looks like we will need to find someone who wants/needs just the rear part and maybe we can split the bill and take just the side ones.... if anyone is interested in doing this just let me know and i will arrange it

Don't you need to replace the whole door panels? Sounds cost prohibitive to me, since there's so much wood and leather on the door panels.

If you wanted all these features, why didn't you just buy a Super V8? Once you add all this stuff up, you probably could've bought one!

Between you and me, I'd rather just tint the windows and be done with it. Now that my windows are tinted, I have no use for the rear window shade.

Really, how much do they cost?

I wonder how they look. The ones in the Super V8 are manually operated and come out of the doors.

Those are pretty cool but they are fixed, not rollup if I understand it correctly. Not that it matters, I have always kept mine up except when cleaning the glass. They really do help with glare, however I got a ticket once because the officer said they made it too difficult to see into the car at night.

Alan does have a point though as you keep asking about adding all of the things that pretty much come standard with the Super V8. Just my two cents, but I say enjoy that fine machine as it is and save your money!

If they are "fixed", meaning they can't be rolled down easily, then that's not practical. How are you going to roll down the windows?

I don't think they attach to the glass. The pics show them with the windows open so they must attach to the door frame and securely I hope so they don't get sucked out of the windows.

I dunno..
shades and tints tend to give cops an excuse to stop you.

You should challange the ticket fi its not too late, its an OEM item that many cars have and means they are DOT approved or they wouldnt be allowed to import the car with them. stupid cops

they were available as part of the warm climate package I believe it is called on many LWB models (only i think) although they are pretty rare.

if I had saw them for my STR when I got it I would have bought them. Even the rear one for us is pretty rare.
