Just wanted to say i was invited to a private viewing for the new XJ on Nov 4 . it was held at the Montreal Science Center.

I must say that i was impressed by this new design after being less than impressed after seeing on the internet only.

It was the XJL Supersport in Spectrum blue with london tan interior.

I am happy for you , that was a nice and exclusive invitation as well . Seeing something live and close really makes difference than seeing on the net

 

Hi, I was lucky enough to be invited 3 weeks ago to a viewing in our local dealer , they only had the car for the one afternoon and evening. I was really impressed , much much better than the photos in magazines could show.
The car was a pre production model and the salesman was telling us that the production model will have a reworked rear seat to increase the headroom as they found it needed improving a bit, a terrific car.

 

Some cars just have to be seen in person. This sounds similar to the Porsche Panamera.

 

Looks beautiful to me...how do I weasel an invite to one of these private events??? Hmmmmm.

 

I saw the new XJ in person today. Interior looks stunning - much better than the picures. The back and side of the car are also very nice. The front on the other hand is hideous IMO. The grille is huge and looks obnoxious.

It also looks very big. It was next to one XF and the XF looked like a compact car compared to the XJ.

 

I was in my local dealership Friday collecting some leather piped headrest covers which I had made up (took 5 months...they lost one of the cloth ones I had made to hide the dvd screens when I bought the car when it was getting an injector under warranty).While waiting I was talking to the sales guy and the conversation got around to the new XJ and to cut a story short our local car club http://nejagenthusiast.piczo.com/?cr=3 have now been invited to have our usual monthly meeting at the dealership to privately see the new XJ with free buffet etc
