Hi all, I'm having an intermittent problem that makes it difficult to refuel and turns the check engine light (MIL) on.

My cars is an 05 XJ8L and falls into the earlier VIN range (G00442-G45703).

The code that I've pulled is:

P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction

I wanted to change the purge valve and Alldata shows the part# CBC7714, but the dealers parts department told me that's incorrect and have given me two different part numbers when I've contacted them.
1. C2C9584 ~ $260
2. C2C21972 ~$85

I'd appreciate any help.

 

I can't comment on whether you need them or not but the first part is the X350 carbon canister and the second one is the purge valve (From VIN G20145 To VIN G49700).
