Radio stops and starts

Radio stops and starts
2006 Super V8 Radio quits after about 1 minute then comes back on by itself and may go off again afterwards. This condition gets worse and the radio eventually stops all together. Disconnecting battery will bring it back. Does anybody have any suggestions as to the cause or possible fixes?
