Monday I bought a 2007 xjl vanden plas
it said in the manual i can voice activate the phone and other commands, but it does not show how to do it.

anyone know how?

and i must say, people here are real nice.

 

Press the button on the steering wheel that has the graphic of a man talking.

If it mutes the radio, then you don't have voice fitted.

If it beeps then say "help" and follow the guide.

 

can u explain so i dont make future erros? how does it work? i posted here at the xj 351
group because i did not see any other links to a more specific area.

I've got Voice and I'm sure it mutes the radio when you press the button.

Yea ... Owner's Handbook (MY 2008) p.330

"During a voice command the audio system
and direction indicator ticking will be muted."

 

Yeah but without the beep...
