Red face Rear control arm bushing replacement

I have a 1996 XJ6 and I need to replace the rear inner control arm bushings. Do I have to drop the complete diff to remove the long through bolt? Is there another way to change the bushings? Is this something that an average mechanic can do with normal shop equipment or is there specialized equipment needed? If I mark the location of everything, will I still have to get the rear end re-aligned? How long should this job take per flat rate (so I will know if I'm getting screwed if I end up using a local mechanic do the job)?

Hi Terry

Ah, you need to post in the XJ ( X305 ) XJ12 forum; this one is for X350s which ran 2003-09.
