I have a blown out heater hose. It is the one that connects the aluminum lines to the heater core. The Jaguar part number is C2C1980 and is 250USD and is shown below. It is the entire assembly including the aluminium lines. I just need the rubber.
Any ideas? I will go to the local auto parts store to see if I can match anything they have but I wonder if anyone had found a work around.
In the past i have used fuel line, to make heater hoses on Honda's.
As well as for many other sizes, of coolant lines.
Very flexible, easily shaped around objects, or even back on itself.
Don't know what size they are, fuel lines are limited in size.
Maybe too large size of line, for fuel
Will not work the other way around though.
Aka, coolant lines for fuel.
I went to the local autoparts and matched some hoses. They are Dayco 87771 heater hoses. Cut the relevant pieces and they seem to work just fine. Hope it helps someone. Hose Part Number Crappy picture of the bit of the hose used in the car.
