Removal of paint on door handle?
Was surprised this evening when using a clay bar on the paint work to find a big streak of beige paint or set glue on the RH rear door handle.
Paint will chip off with a thumb nail but what is a better way? I have put a lot of polish on it to soften it. Perhaps Vaseline?
The handle is chrome plastic so I want to be careful.

I got round to it last weekend.
Used a single edged razor blade to gingerly remove the paint from the door handle. It all came off without scratching the handle.
The PO must have scrapped a recently painted post; there were scrapes on the rear fender as well. Used this old Simoniz heavy duty rubbing compound I found in the garage to rub those out.
