Replacing the a/c vent on an XJR

Replacing the a/c vent on an XJR
I have a broken vent on my XJR. It is the one on the right hand side. It looks like someone broke the little chrome knob that moves the louvers. Has anyone had to do this? Is there a trick to getting the old one out and a new replacement in?
