Seeking referral for someone that may have WORKING download software for JLR-SDD v125 or v130....if there is a download link or if I can mail someone a 32GB USB thumbdrive....please let me know......eight 04 nine 4 three 9 nine eight 8.

Does anyone know if the newer app.war is needed for these versions?

Yes I did....Thanks very much!!! I still have not got it to work tho....I'm using WIN XP SP2 (32) and I back dated my computer to Aug 2012 and put the Java 6.33 and Adobe for reading PDF's on it...and still no luck. After putting the login username an password it still says fail....I will try to keep troubleshooting it.

You might try a NEW INSTALL of Windows so NO previous SDD is present.
I had a good old Dell C640 running Windows XP with a NEW XP install and the SDD125 worked fine.
I sold my DrewTech Mongoose to a forum member because I found a Rotunda VCM and I only work on cars that need IDS 118.5.

I also installed IDS 118.5 on another used Dell C640 Win XP laptop and I had no issues.

You can buy used Dell C640 or comparable laptop on eBay with Win XP for under $100.

I keep 2 Dell C640 and a few HDDs with XP in the shop. Cheap insurance if one dies.

Oh, I'm sorry for the confusion, I meant JLR version 125 to 130, basically, the versions that doesn't need an internet connection and can deal with 2004 cars.

Alexander....yes....I have v125 and v130 and have them both ob different dedicated laptops (and YESSSS they both work)....I saved the files to my hard drive...when I get a chance...I will save them to a google link or I will try to see if I have the link in a thread that was sent to me....I think it was the v130....the v125 was sent as a link also....let me see if I have them

Or you can run it on a more modern laptop and run xp as a virtual machine on say a Windows 7 laptop. I have done this and it works

do you still have a copy you are able and willing to share? I am having increasing problems getting at the copy I tried buying from a certain supplier. They seem to have sent it installed on a vm which I am having to try to find a vm player capable of running from my windows XP computer.

 

Just 2 cents from my side:

Using VM ( at least with vbox), the SDD does work, but the software for older jags doesn't. ( you'll get a requester in SDD, that it will call the other software and nothing happens.)
This seems to be an issue of using a VM, as it also happens on an image I pulled off a working XP laptop.

 

My intention is to use the xp laptop I already have, however the obd cable and software supplier, "British Diagnostics" have sent the software contained within an xp vm which I now have to figure out how to get an xp - xp vm player with a current licence and usb functionality to pull off the software from the vm to then copy on to the regular xp on the laptop. Or if I can to preferably download sdd from another source

 

The thumb drive software, from British Diagnostics, was easily downloaded to my computer.
Not by me, but by someone who knows how to program them.
The cable i have, is a genuine Drew Mongoose, not a clone.

 

Would you know where to get this cable, genuine of course. I've looked everywhere it's discontinued...

 

Was very lucky when i sourced a new one from Drew, early last year.
Guess there was still one to be found, in the warehouse somewhere
Was not inexpensive though, still $599 + shipping, to my motorcycle shop
They do show up occasionally on ebay.
Saw an older one listed last spring.

 

Hello Bob, may I ask to share with me as well?
I’ll need to play around with ECU on my ‘01 X-Type, as far as I understand V130 would be the best option.
