Default Side Mirror light bulbs

Does anyone know how to open up the housing to get to the bulb in order to change it on the side mirrors? Also, if I put in the LED bulbs are they the 194 LED style?

Hi 4bizonly,
Depending on your model year, there can be one or two bulbs in each mirror. If your VIN is lower than H18679, then you only have the approach lamp. Push the mirror forward as far as it will go. The approach lamp should then be able to be slid out from the bottom edge.
If your VIN is higher than H18679 then you probably have two bulbs, the approach light and the turn signal repeater. For both of these bulbs, push the mirror glass so that the outer edge is exposed. Pull this edge towards the rear of the car, and the glass should release from its mounting, The turn signal repeater and approach light bulbs are now accessible. The workshop manual section 417-01
