SO I WAS ABLE TO GET THE LIGHT REMOVED FROM INSIDE THE SIDE MIRROR BUT WAS UNABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE BULB. I AM TRYING TO CHANGE THEM TO LED. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GAIN ACCESS? THANKS! SEE PIC!

As far as I know they are a sealed unit and when the bulb goes you have to but the whole part including the lens. I have heard of somebody that managed to prize the lens cover off, replace the bulb and then re-glue it back on, but obviously that does have risks

This is correct, but I managed to get mine off and clean/repair it and it has worked ever since (2011). One has to be very careful not to break anything !
