2004 XJ8.

How can you tell if you have the Sport or Comfort suspension? It looks like it came with the 18" wheels.

All XJRs and any car with the word "Sport" in the model name will have 'Sport' air springs. If yours is an "ordinary" saloon, it will have 'Comfort' springs.


The springs are labelled at the top on the aluminium cover, usually with a green or red spot, (green for Comfort).

 

Not always 100% true, my Super V8 LWB was specced with sport suspension rather than the usual 'comfort'.

Those vehicles equipped with a supercharger, like the Super 8, are generally fitted with Sport suspension.
