So I'm just wondering.. What exactly do you all think it would take to create a starlit headliner in my 06 Super v8. I was thinking of replacing the headliner & visors with Alcantara like in the super 8 portfolio, and then adding starlights (Rolls Royce phantom like). Are these LEDs or fiber optics? Anyone ever attempted this? Thanks for the input!

 

I believe I read that it was fiber optics, which makes sense as it should be easier or route through the tight space.

One thing that comes to kind as a potential problem is how to make a hole in the alcantara without it getting frayed over time. If the fiber optics were small enough you might be able to work them between the fibers of the martial without needing to cut a hole at all.

Sounds like a neat project, would be curious to see the follow up and hear how it goes.

 

Interested to see if you'ree going to follow the Rolls Royce route and make an exact copy of the sky above Good wood ( I think it was ) on whatever date it was, or just some random starry night?

Yes I'm going to do an exact replica of the Good wood night sky, down to the very last star haha that would be very tough. Any random sky would look great I think.
