Starter noise
When I first start the 05 VDP, after the starter engages there is a noise that continues. This only happens after I first cranking. Then the noise stops. Sounds like the starter is still engaging after ignition. Any ideas?

Could it be a serpantine belt?

Try taking the serpentine belt off temporarily and start the engine too see if the vehicle still makes the noise.
If the starter is sticking then it should continue too make the noise even though the belt is off but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the starter sticking.
the only way too really verify it is the starter is removing the belt too eliminate any accessory pulley noises and using a stethoscope too hear the starter directly while someone starts the engine.
if it is the starter immediately replace the starter as it sticking can damage the teeth on the flex plate and cause bigger issues involving dropping the transmission or pulling the engine too replace the damaged flex plate so don’t let it eat away the teeth. Ensure the noise is not coming from any other sources like the transmission or the it could be as simple as a pulley squeaking on start-up my 96 Lincoln town car used too do that
