Morning all.

Had an issue a couple of days ago with not being able to move my 2009 XJ8 Sovereign out of Park. I was able to unlock through the manual release located on the under left side of the selector. Booked to go to jaguar on Thursday for what they inform me is a min USD 1200/ repair… Also noticed that the Sport and traction controls are also not working, neither is the manual change option.

When gearbox when in automatic mode its working perfectly so its not a mechanical issue. I believe its electrical in nature and thought perhaps someone has experienced a similar issue and just maybe its a relatively simple fix and I can avoid the excessive costs from our local dealer. Cheers, Paul
