Cool Suncore or Strutmasters

Hi All - been some time since I have been here! I hope all are well!

So Mrs BoxxMann's 2004 VDP needs coilovers since I am done spending money on this airbag system. I am considering either the Strutmasters kit or the Suncore kit.

Questions:

1 - what is the right height between the two and how does it compare to stock ride height?
2 - does the light kit from each actually work?

I don't mind spending more money, but if the cheapo one is "good enough" and gets the job done then maybe I will get those.

Suncore:

Strutmasters

Suncore is really hit or miss from what I am reading from their reviews. Folks either love them or hate them...they seem not to care about their phone calls. Strutmasters, however, actually answers their phone when you call them.

Sooo...please help! I'd really appreciate it!

Strutmasters for $900 would be my choice of the two.
Really like the air shocks ride myself

Last week, on June 14th I found myself forced to make the same decision. However I also wanted fast delivery such that I could replace everything over this last weekend. After comparing prices, reviews, the posts on this forum and shipping time/cost, I went to Rock Auto and ordered the Arnott kit (C2745). It was delivered on the 19th and I installed it on Friday and Sunday (½ day each for front and rear as I am not as young as I remembered feeling 2 years ago). The cost for me was only about $200.00 more than Strutmasters, less with fast shipping which was not necessary with Rock Auto. I decided for Arnott because I had replaced an air strut with one of theirs right after I purchased the car and everything went just like in their video. Plus no problems since.

Also, I knew if I encountered a problem I could reach them on Friday. I needed my car back on the road today. I may have tried Strutmasters had I more time. I managed to have no error/low vehicle code when shut down on Thursday and actually did not disconnect the battery (probably risky on my part I know) and I can verify their module does work regarding no lights or messages. I do not think Suncore has a module. (Lastly I neglected to use a 5% discount code I could have used with Rock Auto which would have lowered the price even more.)

Went with Arnott with good results.
I also went with a set of their fronts with no complaints.
R M T rebuilt a set of stock fronts, that also work well for less, about $550.

I do conversions with arnott kits for $1088 on ebay or amazon. Suncore and strutmaster i know from other peoples experiance have had a shock failure (leaks) in a little over a year. But whatever kit you decide on always make sure you get the module to turn off the warning message

Arnott had GREAT customer relations when i had issues with a set of fronts i put on my 04 XJ8.
Another new pair, and paid the shipping both ways.
What more can do you ask for????????????????????

Thanks for the replies! Now I have more facts...seems the left front air strut is bad (holes in the rubber boot), but three of the four struts are Arnott, both fronts. So instead of the conversion, I am waiting and just going to warranty the strut with a new one and keep rolling for now.
