Hello team,
I have just aquired my 4th Jaguar, an x350 2007 super 8. The SC water pump is broken, having wired it up to a standalone battery and got zero action. We have also discovered that its not getting any power from the fuse box under the Bonnet, Fuse 24 is not blown but has no power in or out so we suspect the relay is duff. has anyone got any info on how they replaced and resoldered this relay as trying to locate a repalcement fuse box 5W93 14A073 AD that doesnt cost a kidney is proving difficult.
Thanks
Harv

I had this problem on my car when I got it. I changed the pump, but it didn't solve the problem. Like you, I decided that the relay was the issue. I found some good posts that helped. To test my theory, I fitted an external relay and ran that for a few months while I sourced the correct relays. The car performed perfectly with the external relay. The pic of my setup is below. I'm pushed for time at the moment, but later today I will put up the part numbers for the relays and the procedure for repairing the fuse box. It's not too hard and it won't cost a kidney, if you can drive a soldering iron!
External relay to work around faulty supercharger pump relay R12
Ignore the red wire on the right, it was part of the PO's repair attempt but was irrelevant.
Here is the actual wiring in principle, but for a different relay fault. My pic above is for the supercharger relay.
Principle of external relay
I will post again later with more details.

Hi Pete,
Thanks for posting so quick. I had already found your historical post on the subect which led us down the correct path in the fist instance, We wired up an external realy as per your photo and managed to get power to the pump only to find out it still didnt work. we think that having stood idel for probably a long time is the reason its seized. to test the pump fully we managed to unclip the connecter and test on a stand a lone battery that prooved it was dead. We have ordered a new pump and will be testing that with the external relay hack as per your pic. However ultimatley we would like to fix the onboard relay in the fuse box so any deatil pertaining to that little proceedure would be a great help

I found my previous posts in earlier threads that have the info you need searching on the relay number.

The circuit boards are joined with over a hundred of these pins. I cut them with side cutters and desoldered them from the boards.
Now, I would suggest that you cut them all with a Dremel saw, and then just solder them back together again when finished.
