Default susp. pump experiences

Took the pump out of 04 XJ project. Lots of surface corrosion, frozen cylinder bolt, water inside air dryer, retaining spring dissolving. Cylinder has a very slight Ridge, hand reamed to break glazing to little effect. Motor, crank, seal all looked good. I think the desiccant was causing a lack of air. Ordered off eBay a used pump from California. Arrived today, it looks great, no corrosion, disassembly markings visible many places, I'm wondering even if I should open it up. My opinion is that pump is a good design that should have been made more accessible, particularly the desiccant. The motor/crank seems quite strong. The cylinder and all wearable parts should be made available. Are they?

I'd rebuild the used one with one of bag piping Andy's kits anyway.

No idea. I've only used Andy's kit with success in the past.
