The owners manual says to push up compressing the clips and ease out from the bottom.

I can barely even get it to move up a milimeter. It doesn't seem to want to budge and I do not want to break it.

Any suggestions?

 

you just pop them out. with like a plastic bone tool or someting plastic.. but brake very easily.

 

This is a rather tricky maneuver. You need some time of tool which will give you leverage to push it up far enough to swing the light out from the bottom. They can become somewhat seated in place if they have not be recently removed. The plastice tool is a good choice to keep from breaking the lens as long as it is sturdy enough to take the pressure without breaking itself!
