Throttle body gasket question
Can anyone tell me the difference between these two throttle body gaskets, C2C17430 and AJ83445? I am attempting to finally replace my valley hose and have misplaced many of the items I had previously purchased for the job back in 2021 as well as the information I had gathered. I do not want to order any more “extra parts” since I will surely find everything I have lost once I am finished.
My plan is to use the “tilt” method for the intake manifold in an attempt to do the job. Accordingly, I am now going to use the metal intake manifold gaskets rather than the FelPro fiber gaskets (which I have not lost yet). Unfortunately, I find the Jaguar manifold gaskets, AJ85392, are sold individually rather than in a set. My bad for not paying enough attention when placing my initial order.
Thanks for the help and any information.

Too late now for you (but maybe not for someone coming in later to research their own job,) but I didn't remove the throttle body from the manifold when I pulled the manifold, and I don't see why you would... Also, No reason to remove the vacuum hose from the manifold, just disconnect it at the point shown in your picture #17. As for the gasket, I can't help you with those part #s and what might be different.

Thanks for the response. I was not planning on completely removing the intake. I was just going to do the valley hose by tipping the intake up enough to gain access to the clamp from the front, without disconnecting the components at the rear of the manifold. My eyes are giving me a few problems and seeing things in dark recesses is more difficult than it used to be. Accordingly, I was going to leave the MAP sensor alone and not mess with any of the firewall plastics.
I had gathered as many gaskets and hoses as I thought I would need several years ago when I replaced my radiator, recovery tank, thermostat and housing, serpentine belt, water pump and front hoses, but now I am unable to locate my throttle body gasket and have ordered an additional intake gasket (the metal one). (I was originally going to completely remove the intake as you suggested and use the paper/fiber intake gaskets.) I ordered stuff from several sources and cannot find the paperwork either.
I do have both types of the valley hose (the one piece molded one (Uro?) and the 2 piece, step down (Jaguar) one. I have ordered the C2C17430 gasket and am hoping that the AJ83445 gasket is either for the SC version or otherwise not needed for what I am doing.
Thanks for responding.

This is a good source for finding out which part is for which car...

I'm not sure you can reach everything you need to reach just by tilting the manifold. Having been in there, my recollection says no. I really can't imagine unclamping that hose with the manifold hovering over the space.
