Does anyone know what limits the range of travel on the XJ8 tilt steering column? I find it hard to get my legs under the wheel, even in its highest position, so that it is not easy to get into the seat. From my perspective, the range of motion is (really low - pretty low - low) whereas on other cars I own, it is (low - medium - high). Any thoughts ?

 

Maybe the seat's at its highest setting ? Can you lower that ?

 

Yes, of course the seat can be lowered, but that doesn't result in a comfortable driving position for me, either.
