SWB= Short Wheel Base. LWB = Long Wheel Base. If your car is an "L", it's LWB. If you put SWB sensors in an LWB car, they will not be fine, no matter the frequency.

I have the XJL long base. I've been doing alot of research and I've never heard of that before, this just adds to the confusion now... ugh!!

I have never heard about this either. Only that some have put different other than 315mhz.(ROW spec) Have replaced mine and never had the option of SWB vs LWB. Others have had issues with aftermarket sensors. (cloning). Also it's the same sensor on my 2009 RR L322 as the x350 platform.

I don't follow that at all either. How would the length of the wheelbase have anything to do with tyre pressure sensors ?

I've just looked up 'tyre pressure sensors' on the web and put in 'Jaguar X350' and there's absolutely no options to do with wheelbase; they just give one type.

I think people mean well with their opinions on here but often times everyone's opinion is different entirely from actual fact for some odd reason.. This forum most times has left me more confused than ever rather then not being on here at all with certain things!!

Right ... I've just checked on the official Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue and for the X350/358 there are only two part numbers listed for tyre pressure sensor; one is for the 315Mhz sensor, the other is 433Mhz. Absolutely no mention of SWB/LWB.

Where this idea that the sensors can be different depending on wheelbase came from is beyond me. (The sort of thing you might be told by an ignoramous shop assistant or tyre-shop engineer pretending (bulls****ing) they knew what they were talking about, maybe ?)

How did he determine that the sensor was bad vs the transmitter in the wheel valve vs the module? Did he move a wheel and the issue didn't follow? Haven't heard of many receivers going bad.

Forgive me guys, but I have a thicky question, do all X350's have tyre pressure sensors?, Mine appears not to have. Or has a previous owner maybe had it removed.
It's a early 2006 model XJR

My 04 Xj8 base does not have the tire presser sensors, but the 07 Vanden Plas does.

Find someone with the Autel MaxiTPMS TS508 (I think) they can clear the DTC codes and through the OBDII port reprogram your system to the correct specs as read from each wheel. Should resolve your problem. If it doesn't or if the system fault display returns, diagnosing one part of the system at a time to isolate the problem is a real PAIN in the ****.

If it just says "System Fault" and the tire icon blinks a bit then remains on steady it means (I think) there is more than one issue to be resolved.

Well here's one for you folks. When I turn the ignition on, the TPMS FAULT is displayed. once I start driving it disappears. Stop at a stoplight, it reappears again til I start driving and disappears. Any thoughts from the gurus?
Thank you

Which tire is shown to be low, and is that one low on air?
They are powered by battery, & yours may need replaced.

I second Wingrider's direction.

IOW's it's looking like flaky voltage. The system is acting like it's clearing a reset (re-inflated tire).

So little battery at sensor, or associated grounds for the hardware, then maybe module or pickup itself.

A TPMS scan of each wheel should at least point to a low volt sensor... maybe... sometimes.

(I'm using the Autel sys at this point, BUT I have not cloned to any jaguar yet.)

Thank you, tend to agree it's the air valve sensor too but check connections on the antenna too. Found these pics on the forum too.

Default Short duration low tyre pressure message.

Hello,

I have an '06 X350. Of late, every time I start the car, I get a message in the odometer that 'SPARE TYRE PRESSURE IS LOW' with an amber light. In 20 - 30 seconds, the error message clears. Yesterday, i had the pressure checked and gauge read 33 lbs.

The separate warning light for low pressure is not actuated.

Any thoughts on what to do to clear this problem?

Thanks
