Default Top Gear America...hmmmm...

well finally got to see it and...

it is even worse that I feared.
It would have been border line bad as a Speed Vision fill in, but, when you realise they have used the TopGear brand(well paid for it too I guess, and err yes Jeremy, review this will you) to sell it.....well it is embarrassing to watch, particularly if you told used to tell people how good the original Top Gear is and they need to watch it...
They even took some of the original shows classic stunts , then diluted and Americanized them to the point of well, nothing.
Sadly there appears to be not much chemistry ,interaction or even plain simple fun going on between these three hosts.
Add to that the fact that they will never be allowed to say anything negative about any car on the show due to potentially loosing advertising $ and lawsuits.
Grim.
PS :
Oh, and I don't like any of the hosts either , so there !

It was horrendous. It was almost as if the script had been written for the British trio, but was being read by these Amurican idyuts!

I am going to give it a chance. It may get better, you never know.

I expect it to get better once they find their groove. I'm sure the first episode of the (new) British version of Top Gear was pretty awful.

It was intriguing, but if you have seen any of the "real" show, it was disappointing. It lacked the "I don't give a damn what others are saying, this is what I think". I'll still watch it, but I'm hoping it evolves away from the Hollywood contrivances.

I enjoy Supercar Challenge better. Especially when the Cadillac blew away the Mercedes-Benz.

We get the Australian Top Gear here in New Zealand and it awful compared to the original. It is exactly the same format with all the usual features but the presenters just don't gel as well as the original cast.

The original top gear had all the right chemistry. The only thing i'll give to the American one is that i liked the editing. For some reason I thought it was much more detailed, but that maybe of course because of the viper.
