TPMS Low Pressure Warning on startup only
Hello,
i have 2006 X350 with a Siemens TPMS.
I've had an issue with the TPMS for over a year.
The issue is, when I start the car, the message centre reads 'SPARE TYRE PRESSURE LOW' and this switches off after five to ten seconds.
Since the problem was first encountered, over a year ago, all the sensors have been replaced with new and now the TPMS module has been replaced with a salvaged unit.
On start up, the problem persists.
The OBDS does not produce any codes for the issue.
With this in mind, I suspect it is the same cause exists and it is not with either the spare type sensor, or the TPMS module, or the programming or calibration of either the sensor or the TPMS module. The only other component that I'm aware of is the antenna. Do you think that could be the cause? The replacement looks to be straight forward . The workshop manual does not address cause and effects of issues. It does not appear that the spare tyre has it's own antennae. The manual does not address it, front and rear only..
Perhaps someone on the forum has encountered this issue before and know how to resolve it. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Best,
James
