Just traded my 04xjr for an 08 sv8 and found the sv8 comes witha a space saver spare. I would like to swap my full size 19" spare from the xjr and get rid of the space saver. The sv8 and xjr both have 255 40 19" tires. Does anybody know if this is OK?

Also the sv8 has tpms whereas the xjr did not. The dealer says the tpms is only for the 4 wheels and spare if it is a full size spare. Claims that the space saver does not have atpms. Can anyone verify this? Apparently the 08 xjr and sv8 no longer come with full size spares.

Thanks Brutal. I figured it would fit but considering the dealer was not even sure if the full size tire would fit in the trunk I was really questioning their claim that the space saver does not come with tpms. Thinking about it the easiest way to test is to deflate the spare and drive around.

 

Thanks Brutal. Did they eliminate the full size spare on the xjr and sv8 to save weight? Or is it just a cost savings?
