For grins I purchased the "Victory by Design- Jaguar" DVD (Amazon.com) and popped it in the rear entertainment system of my 2006 VDP.

For those of you unaware, Victory by Design is a series of beautifully produced and filmed videos featuring a chronological history of vehicles offered by high end makes such as Porsche, BMW, Maserati, etc. British born Alain de Cadenet hosts and has the enviable job of hopping in each car to give a first hand account of the driving experience. There is no background music, no flashy graphic, and no test track...just the car doing what is is designed to do in it's natural environment with less talk than driving.

Here's the point of my post: Any of you that have the rear entertainment system and an appreciation for the sound of a classic engine get this video, pop it in, and crank the volume- right now. The sound of the classic Jaguar engines piping through the factory stereo system is absolutely stunning (especially the 1966 XJ13). I'm not a Jaguar fan-boy, but I will tell you that driving home from work in my VDP listening to the sounds of these cars with Alain's British accent providing a historical review really makes me appreciate the Jaguar make and it's place in history.

If you don't have the entertainment system grab the video anyway and check it out...you will not be disappointed!

 

not familiar with that DVD, I wonder if there's a clip on you-tube...off to search!

 

Havent got that one but have got a DVD called The History of Jaguar..The Definitive Story which I won on ebay for around 99 pence
Always wondered what my car would be like sounding like an E Type, D Type, C Type or XK
Will now find out!
