I'm in the the process of cleaning the wind screen wash reservoir which is located behind the right fender on our 05 XJ8 VP.
According the the service manual (Ebay download) VIN G0042-G45703 is a location match. However the VIN number of our XJ ending is G47396 falling in line with the service manual G45704-G99999 which locates the wind screen wash reservoir behind the left fender.
It's a no brainer that I follow the removal instructions of where the reservoir is actually located but I'm curious has anyone ever ran into this kind of issue regarding the "cheap" digital service manual downloads?

 

According to the EPC the change in headlamp and wndscreen washer reservoir occurred after VIN G49700.
