The rear package subwoofers in my XJR seem a bit "tired" so I'm thinking of upgrading them. Does anyone know what size they are? I'm thinking 8" but might be wrong.

There are 2 speakers on the deck acting as subs...more like midrange at 6"/6.5". They are in a plastic holder of sorts that is connected to the speaker so finding a speaker will require an adaptor which is of course ridiculous. I have been contemplating just removing the two and running wires to a non amped small bass tube using the existing amp wires and mounting just under the holes from the trunk of course. It will require a carpet cut but it will be done neat and only after I see if it sounds good not ghetto... I hate mine too !
