Vin ends in G14593, so its an early one!
I have the Motorola phone in the armrest and nav but there's no microphone on the outside of the roof console on the drivers side?
It's the later models that have the microphone inside the roof console I think.
So do I have the telephone but don't have handsfree?

 

I also had a 2003 Sport with the Motorola phone and the large sat-nav screen. I can't remember seeing a microphone, but certainly I had a 'hands-free' installation. To answer a call, you have to press the top left control on the steering wheel. Have you tried making a call to the car phone and seeing what happens ? Voice Control is needed in order to make calls without using the touch screen. I have this on my current X358 Sov, but never use it. Too much to learn at my time of life !!
