Default Wheel Nuts

As my Jag was missing its wheel nut wrench when I bought it a couple of months ago I found a replacement at a wreckers as I need something quickly in case of a puncture. It is a cheep type tube spanner but worked OK for 19 out of the 20 nuts.(I removed each wheel to fit my new centre caps) The 20th nut was extra tight and the tube spanner turned on the nut without loosening it. So I then used a socket from my socket set which I had to hammer on as the nut is now somewhat damaged. The nut came off with a LOT of force. There was no way I could have got it off at the road side so it was fortunate that I was in my garage.
The nut is now nicely rounded, SO I will have to replace it and reading a couple of comments on this fine forum there are suggestions of using Toyota nuts. Are these a similar two/three piece nut like the Jaguar ones?
I will replace all the nuts as the rest have some rounding damage too. I will also buy a quality wrench.

The Toyota's (at least the one I purchased) have the attached washer and fit the wheels nicely. They do require a different lug wrench since they are a different size hex so many on-line sites will say they do not fit. I just bought a Harbor Freight cross lug and carry that in the boot.

Here are the ones that I got for my 04. They work great. No issues. But what Pragmatic said is true. They will say they don't fit. But they do.

I paid $1 each years ago so do not pay anything like the price in this ad.

They are M12x1.5

I bought
these these
from amazon. Put them on a couple of weeks ago and they are fine and dandy. Does require a 13/16" though. I managed to get the old one off by a soak with high-speed penetrant, hammering a 19mm 5pt. impact socket on and going very slowly with a breaker bar. Torqued up to 92ftlbs with silver anti-seize. All torque setting calculations are based on zero friction, so forget what people say about that.

I got some from Ebay last year and they are an excellent alternative, the heads are solid unlike the Jaguar ones so you don't get the swelling and rust under the covering cap. the size is metric with it being Japanese, not that it's a big deal and as Jason says 13/16th .
What I have found though is that the chrome plating on the ones I got is not the best and as such some of the bolts are showing some signs of rust.
That said I wouldn't go back to the Jaguar ones because when they go bad they are a real pain to sort as you have found out.
