Question When did the XJ go Bluetooth?

My centre console seems to be bad (wont turn on, no power getting there) I thought it was just the amp in the trunk, but it doesnt seem to be that. A local shop said it's most likely the console itself, I'll do a little more poking around to see for sure. But anyway, If i'm going to get a new console put in, I may as well go bluetooth. My car has the integrated phone (2004 XJR) with the microphone in the headliner, but I have no idea how to use it. Plus I would rather just have my cell linked via bluetooth. So would a newer version console with bluetooth fit in my current dash? And if so, what years would have them for when I go ebaying? Thanks!

the bluetooth module is a separate part that connects inline to existing wiring under the armrest. Having the microphone most likely means you have the phone module (i'd do a quick check behind the CD change stack, you'll have to pull back the carpet to verify) and if that is truly there, only need to buy the BT module and plug it in to get functionality. BT module part numbers are C2C 39062, or 2W93-14b409-##. XJRguy offered me a used AB unit here in this thread, if you would like to see if he still has the module available for purchase.
