Which parts did you want to get done? There are several threads for parts I got chromed. Overhead console, shifter bezel, power seat buttons, front air dam blade and related tow covers. If you need instructions on how to take everything apart, let me know.

Spoke with him today. Apparently he is leaving the company and going to another custom shop with the chrome equipment. I'll keep you posted what happens.

Joe, open the eyeglass compartment and check for a screw, if it is there, remove it. You will need to pry the entire assembly starting with the end closest to the rearview mirror. You can use either a trim pry tool, or your fingers. It may take some force to pull down and toward you. The entire assembly should come down. Carefully disconnect the single wire harness.

The next steps involve disassembling the assembly. Some of it is plastic welded, just clip those off with some dykes and carefully pull it apart piece by piece. By the way, the posts you just clipped happen to be hollow and i was able to reassemble everything by using very small screws and washers. In the end, you should be left with two pieces to be chromed, the larger outer plastic and a smaller piece that goes around the buttons.

Anything can be chromed. How often do you use it? Not sure how the wear would be over time.

That bad news is the company I was using has been seized by the police. All customer's vehicles, motorcycles and parts are locked up until further notice.

There are a lot of pissed off customers, including myself as there remains one part I was waiting on to be redone, the airdam blade.

If the police won't cooperate, looks like I may have to order the $150 part and find another chrome shop.

Ughhhh!!!!!!!

I actually had the brushed aluminum shifter plate on my super V8 but i took it off because i bought a new aluminum shift knob and the two together clashed, they are two different styles of aluminum. i wound up trading a buddy of mine for his stock black plastic one. after reading on here how much that shift plate cost i want to punch myself in the nuts! one of my dumbest moments by far...
