While watching a few videos on Youtube of XJR's pulling on everything they come across, i noticed an absurd amount of bonnet flex. This got me thinking, why the devil did they change it from rear opening, to a front opening one? Was there a reason for this, I actually loved the rear opener on my classic XJS haha.

 

Adam, do you still have the XJS?

 

No I do not, used the money from the sale to fund my XJR. I miss it though, wasn't as fast, not even close. But the feel and feedback from the wheel and it's handling was superb, and it was still very very comfortable. And the rear opening hood made it very easy to work on the rear of the engine lol

 

Adam, you ever go to the "Brits on the Beach" car show in Ocean Grove in Sept, a lot of nice jags last year

 

I would like to check that out. When is it?

 

No I do not! But having both a Jaguar AND a Land Rover I would love to! I tried to see prince Harry in my Jag when he visited Seaside but they blocked off a few of the roads =/ When do they hold it/must I register to enter?

 

The Brits on the Beach car show this year is 9/21 in Ocean Grove NJ. It is put on by The Positive Earth Drivers Club. Search Brits on the Beach and the web site will come up.
Entry fee is $15. I entered last year and brought 2 beach chairs a table and cooler and was parked right across from the E types, how much better can it get.
