Default x350 indicator stalk quick question

hi all
i need a new indicator stalk for my x350 3 litre petrol, 2003 model, the part number is 2w93 13335 AB
im told that later s types are the same and they do seem to look identical, the part number for them is the same except that it ends in AC
can anyone confirm that they are the same
many thanks

Not only the S-type, the XF one is the same, I believe but there may be cosmetic differences. I had to have one on my car in 2012 at 65k miles. It cost £125 and is about an hour labour to swap out, maybe a bit less.

However, I'm not a Jaguar technician so be careful before you commit your money.

its just that it gives a bit more choice when trying to source a second hand one if the stype one is the same , i dont really want to fork out for a new one as the car is nearly 13 years old,
ive had the old one off to see if it comes apart to be able to fix but it seems to be a sealed item. its a simple job , takes about 20 minutes and easy enough DIY job

It is possible to get the lid off the small rectangular box that contains the working bits, but there are eight tangs that clip it on, and it is a real PITA to get them all unlatched. What you'll find in there is a little circuit board, and quite a few wires too. Frankly, for me it was worth it to put in a new one, as it cured my headlights going out occasionally for a couple of seconds. Not something one wants on an unlit road with no moon !

I'm almost certain these switches fit the S-type, X350, and XF. However what price difference is there between the part numbers ?

light problem update
so main beam only worked when flashing, so no permanent main beam, and front and back fogs also not working, and although daytime running lights had been disabled using jlr sdd, they were still on.
purchased a new stalk, well, brand new old one off ebay, and fitted it and everything works fine now and drl have turned off.
i was now brave enough to take the old stalk apart cos breaking it now would not matter ,
this is what i found, the green wire had broken so i shall fix this and then ive got a spare

the stalk was from a 2004 s type and was £23

not hard but just a bit awkward, you have to press all the little tabs in and then just pull it apart without forcing it apart
