This may seem an odd query, but I restore cars - currently doing a Land Rover Defender with a terrible interior. To get nice seats it'll cost £1000!!! So I'm going to fit some different ones in, I have Jags, and I owned a X305, so I know how comfy the seats are! And I've now been offered a pair of black leather XJR ones, heated, cooled and electrically adjustable.

I'd really like to get these seats in the Defender, it'll be a bespoke cruiser if I did! So, can you guys tell me what the electrics system on the seats is like, will it just wire in 12V? And how does the cooling and heating function work? The biggest problem I can see though, is how I'm going to fit them in.

Can someone please measure the seats, and have a look at how easy it would be to move the rail nearer to the base of the seat with a bit of modification.

Defenders have raised seat boxes, so can you also measure the distance between the rail mount, and the top of the base (in lowest setting) and also the distance between the lowest electrics and the top of the seat base.

I'd be really grateful if any of you that have an X305 could do this for me!

Yeah, sorry. I meant the X350, not X305 that I mentioned twice in the thread (!) Is there anybody that has 5 minutes to do these measurements please?

hay just about to remove my front drivers seat as frame bolts have loosened causing a slight rock. What figures would you like exactly from frame to top of seat ect. I have seen several interiors on ebay at the mo for around the 250 mark so hopfully you can put these seats in beats the standard landy seats.
