X350 vs X100 - Just an observation
So I've had my X350 (technically x356) for nearly a year now and it's by far the best Jag, maybe even best car, I've ever owned. I absolutely love everything about it. A few days ago I came across a sale ad for a nice lower mileage '06 XK8 Coupe local to me so decided to go take a look. I always thought the X100 Coupes were some of the best looking cars ever made so was pretty excited at the prospect of finally owning one.
This particular car aside, I could not believe how dated that car felt when compared to the X350. Yes, I know its a much, much older chassis and has the "old" Jag interior, but I was shocked that the two cars could have been for sale on the lot when new at the same time and anyone in their right mind would choose the XK for similar money. It reminded me of my X308 XJRs which in the past would have been a good thing, but since I've owned this car they just feel so dated and don't think I could ever go back - no matter how gorgeous the body lines are.
Not that anyone asked about comparing these two cars, I just thought it was interesting and honestly a bit sad for me. This X350 has ruined the older Jags for me, there's no way I could deal with that interior ever again. Bright side is I still want another Jag and with the newer gen XKs not being my cup of tea it looks like I'll be on the hunt for an X350 XJR. I think this has just cemented my belief that these cars might just be one of the best cars ever made. When I got home I jumped in my car and went for a short drive and just felt right at home, she fits like a glove. I absolutely love these Jags.

Ford Motor Company.
Love or hate the fact, that Ford made the car DEPENDABLE.
As well as almost affordable to repair, & maintain.
Many parts, from the regular Ford, & Lincoln parts bin
Doing away with Lucas, the Prince Of Darkness.
Was definitely one of, if not the best thing that they did.

Yes of course, that's pretty much the only reason I own Jags. Which is ironic because I don't typically like Fords. The X100 was a Ford Jag as well, I just can't believe they could sell that car at the same time they were selling an X350 and anyone would go for it. Sure the body is beautiful, but that's about it.
