I have an X358 SuperV8 LWB ex Japan. I have been puzzled that, while all the other characters in the VIN match the car, I can't find any listing for the 8th on any of the decoders. My 8th letter is ' L '. I have attached a photo of the windscreen (windshield) VIN plate. Does anyone have a source for the ECS spec for this letter, and are there any sources for what emission specs these ECS codes relate to?

According to the EPC this car has "emission B" and "ECS 11" whatever that is.
What i can tell you is that the Japanese spec cars have a specific engine calibration file, which is different to other markets.
Thanks very much for that information. I have a copy of the build sheet but it really only lists the options, not the specific settings.
The EPC is the electronic parts catalog, I guess. I have the files, but haven't yet installed them.
Is there any other information about my car that the EPC can throw up? The ex Japan models have some strange quirks and fittings, but at least they start as RHD, unlike my other car, that had to be converted.
