Ok... I know I am not as smart as I should be.. but what is up with finding an air filter for my '04 XJ8 that fits. Am I not realizing that this air filter is a special size since none of the "normal" (read Fram etc..) air filters fit. Even when the spec sheet says it's supposed to fit. Also.. since it seems I can't just run down to my local auto store to get one that fits correctly... are there any online options ?? I am guessing that going directly to the Jag store is going to be relatively expensive. I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

 

Filters at my Jag Dealer are $18 or so.. Pretty cheap for a $80K car..

I think Mann filters from NAPA Fit well. Fram chit sucks.

 

My local CarQuest carries all the filters you need for our cars. If you have CarQuest stories in your area I can supply the part numbers. They also have windshield wiper "inserts" which are getting hard to find. I can verify all components fit.
