Good day, I am relatively new to Jaguar world, my wife has a 2004 XJ8 and it has been fine except now the rear passenger air shock wants to randomly fully extend amd not come down. If I let the air out and clear the memory by touching the battery cables together it will function fine for 5 or 6 trips before it decides to extend itself again. I would truly appreciate any help you could offer.

 

Check the height sensor and make sure the arm is not disconnected from the strut or body.

 

Read the codes-it could be C2302 ie height sensor.
