so my wife just called me...




and said she slammed on the brakes to save a pedestrian and her HVAC fan stopped working, the guages operate as if it were working but no air is moving, no funny noises, no blown fuses



any ideas???







car is a 2004 XJ8, haven't had any issues with it other than a failed o-ring or something with the air suspension last year....

 

This is a common fault and is probably a failed fan speed control.

Easy to replace or repair part cost is 110 GBP in the UK.

Let us know if you want chapter and verse on this.

 

I appreciate it, I'm about 8 hours away right now so she's going to take in to a shop and have 'em check it out
