After reading post on this forum, I went to the junk yard and found a 2002 Lincoln LS with a sun roof. Took the whole assembly out except for the glass, and paid $50. At home, I removed the sun roof from my xj8 without taking the head liner out of the car. Just laid it on top of the seats. Found that the frame from the Lincoln was the same size and shape as the jag except for two tabs that were pop riveted to the sides. Decided to just replace the broken parts from the jag with the Lincoln parts. Everything worked just fine. Thanks to all the people who post on this on this forum. I could not afford to keep one of these fine cars on the road without you.

Nice job! Just did the same thing with parts from the Sunroof Doctor. You got me though; I paid $130. Headliner sitting on the seats just like you. Nice to have the breeze again.
