XJR front brake discs

I am close toneedingnew front brakes for my 04 XJR and am looking for alternatives to the dealer - mostly due to the seriouss $$$ for the genuine item. IfI am going to pay what SoCal dealers wantI expect them to be machined from solid neverwearoutium - even then something like 475 per side seems excessive.

Pads and rear brake rotors seem widely available as aftermarket, but front rotorsseems to be scarce - even MotorcarsLtd only offers rear rotors, and a number of aftermarket suppliers offering "04" rotorsare apparently selling what look to be standard XJ8 rotors as suitable for an R which they are not,as the onmes they have arejust a bit deficient in outside diameter

Does any one have any known good alternative sources please?

Are you sure you need new rotors? Before you replace them you should check the minimum thickness, good possibility
that they could simply be resurfaced. For the minimum thickness spec. its usually stamped into the hat area of the brake
rotor itself.

Right on the limit, I'm afraid.I'm notsurprised that theyare wellworn - there's thisneat winding piece of road on the way home, you see, and if I'm lucky there's next to no traffic...
