Question XJR total loss ..... drivers door replaced by anyone here? couple questions

driver side of my car took a serious beating from my neighbors big SUV
insurance company is considering it total loss. I am going to retain the vehicle and was wondering has anyone here swapped out the front door assembly before? I found a door of the same color but was wondering how much of an undertaking it is to swap them out.
Also the side mirror was blown off in the impact as well. the metal piece that attaches to the door was broken off so its not just the mirror. Anyone here have experience with replacing either the front door, the side mirror assembly, and/or the door handle assembly?

Car only has 42K so I am going to try and get it back on the road

I have experience of door actuator removal and repair.

I have just had a look at the hinges on my door and it looks straightforward the black hinge

pins have a hex head so looks like you need to unscrew them.

You will need to check if the wireing will come out through the hole in the side of the door or not.

PM me if you need photos of actuator to handle connection.

Handle is just two nuts I think.

Two man job to hold door and remove pins, maybe use nails as temp pins.

No programming since using existing DD module.

Body shops use door lifts. Fancy name for a hydraulic jack with a framework to hold the door.

You may be able to do something similar with 2x4's and plywood. Make sure you pad
bearing surfaces with carpet.

Do yourself a favor. Source the parts you need and carry them to a reputable body shop to be fitted.
You will most likely not like the results of a 1st time DIY door refit.
