Hey all my 95 XJ6 is suddenly not starting. When I drove it home from work it was running perfect. When I get in and hit the key everything comes on as it should but the chime is not working and when I hit the brake pedal the lock in the console shifter is not clicking out. What do you think it is? I am sure it is in the console this has happened before and when you hit the shifter in the park positing forward it would start....

Safety switch? What do you all think?

I think I found the problem......My little one likes to pop the trunk when I am not looking. I think it sent the alarm in to no start mode. Closed the trunk...locked....unlocked and then went back and it started and ran perfect.


Who knows...its the beauty of a Jaguar.
