I need to replace my front passenger side window on my 1995 Vanden Plas, purchased in the US (model year is 1995... production date is 1994). The shop I dropped the car off at on Monday called just now giving up on getting the proper glass. Apparently their supplier sent them 2 diff deliveries that both turned out not to fit... even though the were armed with all the info: VIN #, production date, model date etc...

I just tried calling Safelite and their database didn't show Vanden Plas for 1995. Would getting the 1995 XJ6 Window work? Or are the bodies different? Perhaps that's what my mechanic was running into all along?
