Exclamation 96' Jaguar VDP Speaker

I have a 96' XJ Vaden Plas w/ the Harmon Kardon system. My subwoofer is blown and the dealer doesn't stock this anymore, so my guess is I will have to replace with an aftermarket speaker?

What would you guys recommend replacing this subwoofer with?, because the sound the Harmon Kardon sub produce were amazing. Also what's the exact size of the subwoofer? Reply asap. thanks!

Default JagBits Subwoofer

Jagbits.com used to carry these but it looks like they're back ordered. They were around $150 I think which was a tremendous price, relatively speaking. Another option is to remove it and send it out to a speaker repair shop. I was on that track until I saw the JagBits one.

Someone on this forum put in a 8 inch shallow mount sub in the back instead of the factory 6x9 sub. I would believe it would sound better too. I installed 2 6x9 Polk Audio's back there and they hit pretty good.

Did you check sub?
I had mine "blown" but in the procces of removing I have seen that is just fall a part, old age and Sun coused adhesives to disapear, so I have glued it together.
Works great!
