Hi, It's Pete here from New Zealand, I hope I get this to you as it is my first time using the Forum. I have a 1995 XJ6, which is a Hongkong import. I have owned for 7 years now, and has gradual deterioration in the reversing sensors,Fuel Gauge, but the ABS controller, I am told has a problem, due to most imports being subject to high humidity. I still get a WOF as the warning light doesn't come on till 25k's has been reached, and no road test here for a WOF. A new Controller from Uk., has been quoted at $4500nz., which is out of my price range, and is probably as much as the car is worth now. This is possibly no help to you, but a bit frustrated trying to find a cheaper solution to this problem. Good Luck . Pete.

Hi Pomme and welcome. If I was you I would try and find a garage who has a scanner that can read your ABS system. That way you'll know what it is. You can change this and that but never track it down. The shop that does my oil changes did mine a while back at NO charge but that's unusual..

Sorry I could not help more good luck..

There is a known issue with the motor connectors on both the X300 and X308 ABS modules, although the x308s get more reports. If you have any sloldering skill and give a fine hand to a hack saw to cut the module open, you can repair it yourself.

BUT, as Simprof so accurately pointed out, the best approach is to get someone with AutoEnginuiy or another high end diagnostic scanner to read your ABS codes
